MONDAY - MAY 10, 2010

   Guten Abent!  (That means "Good Afternoon" in German, BTW)... Anyway, in keeping with our "German" theme with WWI & WWII here, today we continued watching parts of "The Boy in the Striped Pajamas."  For those of you who were absent, the story is about a German boy during WWII whose father is a Nazi commanding officer in charge of a concentration camp.  However, the boy doesn't understand what his father does, and as we are finding out, his mom and other family members don't know too much more, either. 

   Below you will also find the "flow chart" we did today on the board of the Major Events from WWI - WWII.  See ya tomorrow!

FRIDAY - MAY 7, 2010

   Happy Weekend!!  Hey guys, today we had Awards Day in the auditorium, so we kept it kinda low key today and started watching a movie about WWII.  The movie is called The Boy in the Striped Pajamas.  It is about the NAZIs and the Holocaust during WWII in Europe.
