Today's Vocabulary!
- Ally - (pronounced "A-lai") A country or nation that is your friend (especially in war).
- Alliance - A group of countries/nations that protect each other.
- Entangle - To "get all mixed up." Entangling alliances are when allies get switched around and/or help the enemy, etc.
- Nation vs. Country vs. Nation-State
* Country - a place with borders and a government (also called "a state").
* Nation - a people with a shared past/present/future (typically an ethnic group).
* Nation-State - a country in which aALL the people belong to the same nation.

TUESDAY - APRIL 20, 2010
Hey people! Today, we watched and discussed a short video on "No Schools," in which parents basically keep their kids at home, teach them nothing (not even homeschool), have no rules, and no punishment. We had some pretty interesting discussions!
