Hola! Today we analyzed and compared the governments of Athens, Greece (they had a direct democracy) and the Roman Republic (they had a republic). We did this using our definitions from last week. Please see the "flow charts" we created below. Also, after that, we started to discuss how Rome went from the "Roman Republic" to the "Roman Empire." To do this, we started listening to the story of love, murder, and betrayal that were the lives of Julius Caesar, Cleopatra, and Mark Antony.
